Don't hide your light!

(head down, hands over eyes, frown on face)

Let it shine for all;

(jump once, move hands away from eyes, smile)

It is interesting what is remembered as we grow older. I remember my mother often singing Frank Sinatra's "Always" to me and my brother.

She would pause right before the word always. My brother, who was just learning to talk, would insert ..."all weees". Now, 50+ years later I can still hear them singing in my heart's ear.

"I'll be loving you.......all weees.

With the love that's true......all weees..."

Just like when I was a child, that song still gives me a sense of peace and a smile.

You know, those special little things you do make a huge difference...keep doing them.

And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

(Galatians 6:9)

1. Read the scripture to your child with expression while sliding your fingers under the words.

2. Ask your child to say each section after you and do the action written in parenthesis. Explain the meanings of any unknown words.

3. Say and act out each section with your child.

4. Repeat the scripture and the actions many times during the month.

Don't hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.

(Matthew 5:15-16 The Living Bible Paraphrased)
